Hello

Woman playing sound healing instruments in garden

I'm Fiona! My journey into sound and healing began after retiring as an Occupational Therapist registered with the British Association of Occupational Therapy. I became a Registered Counsellor with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), before transitioning into sound therapy. My journey into the world of Sound has totally transformed my adult life, bringing about freedom, a sense of well-being, friendships and happiness, in fact, a full 360-degree turnaround!

My Story

My musical influences started in mum’s tummy, as she shared her love of music. Growing up I listened to grandma who sang in a London Choir and another nanna who played Piano; and mum who sang in musical shows.  So needless to say my immersion into sound frequencies was early and in my DNA.

As a little girl I sang with nanna, joined drama school, had a go at guitar and piano, and sang in choirs.

Unfortunately teens brought on a neurological condition. To cope I naturally leaned towards the therapeutic qualities of sound. I found escape in singing and listening to music, but importantly I found this alleviated the stressors which exacerbated a frightening condition.

On the many journeys of adult life, music - singing was always my go to. And I think you will agree most of us have a favourite song we tune into during life’s ups and down.

1:1 Sound Therapy Treatment

After training and working as a Therapist, I explored combining sound with Meditations and Relaxation programmes for clients with physical and mental health conditions, which was received positively, and seemed to give respite, relief and relaxation.

Later during a personal period of great stress, I turned to a different genre of sounds. While Sound was not a curative I realised this was a definite pattern I had developed in time of great stress. I knew it definitely worked for me - it alleviated my stress and gradually I regained equilibrium, peace, clarity and then my life seemed to change, for the better. Sound had become my therapy!

So over the past 5 years, I have explored, practiced and developed using different sound sources as a therapeutic tool.

I have learnt to use a variety of instruments and vocals, and still enjoy this path of learning. The difference now is as a Practitioner in Sound I am able to offer the healing qualities of Sound to other people with physical and mental health conditions or for pure bliss and relaxation.  Here I am! I am inviting you to join me on this wonderful journey of Sound – enter into the vibrational energy that can be healing!

Humbly I have received positive feedback from sound baths that I have facilitated over the last few years and these comments have not only inspired me but encouraged me to continue as it is definitely a healing tool.

I strongly believe that this powerful healing tool should be accessible to everyone and that is why I have built up charitable relationships and outreach opportunities with Trust Links, U3A (University of the Third Age) and most recently Southend HARP. Funding should never stand in the way of healing and it is my mission to help those that are less fortunate and educate them in sound healing as it is one of the most accessible, transportable and cost effective healing tools in the world that can help each and every one of us to reconnect and get our healing vibrational power back.
