With a rich background in occupational therapy and counseling, Fiona brings a unique blend of expertise and compassion to her sound therapy practice. As a retired Occupational Therapist registered with the British Association of Occupational Therapy and a Registered Counsellor with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), Fiona has dedicated her life to helping others achieve well-being.
Fiona's Sound Therapy Training:
Fiona has trained extensively in Sound Therapy with Tenzin Pasang, a Tibetan Sound Practitioner and Author, and Julia Tsang, a Sound Practitioner and Reiki Master. She continues her education through the UK-based Sound Healing Academy, recently completing a course in Tuning Forks.
Vocal and Musical Expertise:
Fiona's passion for music is evident in her studies of Indian Classical Singing and Music with Smt Chandrima Misra at the Bhavan Centre in London, and her continued vocal practice with Mezzo-Soprano Vanessa Cozens. She has also completed Mindfulness Singing Workshops with Clare Foster, a Jazz Artist and Educator. Additionally, Fiona practices piano regularly with Jane Compton and is self-taught in playing the Harmonium, Indian Tanpura, and Swar-Mandala. Her diverse musical training enriches her sound therapy sessions, creating a holistic and deeply transformative experience for her clients.
